All work and no play has the ability to make life a little dull especially for those who decide to embark on the demanding journey to gain a CFA® certification, and nobody knows that fact better than us! The knowledge comes from the wealth of experience that Genesis has in being an industry leader due to years of providing smart and innovative financial education.
Post this June’s challenging CFA Program examination, we decided to lighten the mood a little and keeping up with tradition, organized what we like to call ‘The Hangout’. The Hangout is exactly what the name suggests, it’s a chance for our CFA students to catch a breather and socialize with their peers and trainers, all rolled up into one evening of plain old entertainment.
Dubai Bowling Center was the venue and the day Sunday, 14th of June. A good turnout was expected and a good turnout is exactly what we got, with around 30-35 people deciding to join us for the evening. Fun seemed to be the theme as our instructors decided to turn up dressed in Hawaii shirts which really set the ball rolling (Pun Intended!) for the rest of the event. Socializing over a competitive spirit and letting of some steam as you watch that bowling ball crash into those pins has a charm of its own.
The bowling however, seemed to make a lot of people hungry and Pizza, like it often does, came to the rescue in the form of an enticing dinner which was followed by the much awaited awards ceremony to conclude the evening. Certificates and Scholarships in the form of 50% return of course fees were handed out to students who scored the best grades in the mock CFA Program exam.
Goodbyes and promises to stay in touch brought a rather enjoyable outing to a close, with all fingers now probably crossed for the results!
